We are committed to increasing the diversity of the businesses we use for our goods and services by creating a fair and inclusive contracting environment.

WSSC Water has received local and national attention for our success in expanding opportunities to a growing number of diverse businesses in our communities. We have shown a strong commitment to the economic development and advancement of diverse businesses by focusing on four key areas: Supplier Advocacy, Compliance, Supplier Development and Strategic Outreach.

We are committed to providing diverse and small, local businesses the opportunity to compete for business, whether directly with WSSC Water or by subcontracting through our primary suppliers. This mission is achieved through our Small Local Business Enterprises Program and Minority Business Enterprises Program. We encourage all WSSC Water-contracted suppliers to support these supplier diversity efforts.

You have good seminars, and you work with contractors on what you're looking for and how to be prepared to work with WSSC (Water). You really have a good educational program for contractors.
