Embedded in a cross-functional collaborative approach, the Enterprise Risk Management Program supports WSSC Water’s Risk Culture and Maturity. The Program spearheads the process of identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting WSSC Water’s enterprise-wide risks and opportunities through training and workshops.
The Enterprise Risk Management Program’s objectives are:
- To inform the Strategic Plan
- To provide risks and opportunities perspectives to the strategic decision-making process
- Through S.M.A.R.T (Simple, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, Time bound) mitigation strategies, to proactively address risks before they materialize
- To promote an enterprise risk culture
The WSSC Water Enterprise Risk Management Program follows the ISO 31000 standard and the COSO Controls framework.
