Our Human Resources Office finds, recruits and hires top talent for WSSC Water, as well as manages the many benefits and programs that make employees want to stay. The office develops and maintains employee benefits, classification and compensation programs; conducts training courses; and manages all recruiting functions. Human Resources also provides counseling services on a variety of employee issues.
Meet the Chief Human Resources Officer
This section develops, administers and manages comprehensive benefit and well-being programs for WSSC Water employees, retirees and their dependents: medical, dental, prescription, vision, Flexible Spending Account programs, the Employee Assistance Program and more. We also provide the MyLife Wellbeing Program, which incorporates a range of services and resources to encourage employees to be their own best healthy-living advocates.
This division manages WSSC Water's compensation program and employee information, which includes both human resource management systems and records management. The division also determines salary structures, ensures compliance with wage and hour laws, establishes internal and external pay equity and administers our performance management system.
This section provides counsel and advice to management and employees to help resolve employee issues and labor relations concerns. It also helps to develop, implement and interpret policies and procedures, assists in collective bargaining negotiation and administration, and ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Division is responsible for the overall development and execution of all EEO activities, policies and procedures including the investigation of complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and ADA and religious accommodations compliance. The Division is a key strategic leader responsible for maintaining a work environment that is free of discrimination, harassment and retaliation. The Division works to enhance WSSC Water’s responsiveness to creating a respectful, engaged and inclusive workforce.
