Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and ensure a continuous supply of safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing aging infrastructure in your community. This project will relocate/replace approximately 0.5 miles of water main ranging from 4 to 12 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

Fall 2025 - Summer 2026

Project Status

Construction is just getting underway. Pipe work completion is estimated for late spring/summer 2026.

Some work will take place during the winter. Due to a restriction on above-ground pipes (bypass) in winter months, full work will begin in early spring 2026.

Please expect weekday work hours from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks. Final roadway paving/striping is anticipated to be completed in summer 2026, weather permitting.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025 to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
