Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and to provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will replace approximately 1.62 miles of water main ranging from 3 to 12 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

Winter 2025 – Fall 2026

Project Status

Construction is 70% complete. Pipe work completion is estimated for September 2026.

Installation of the water main on Nashville Road, Kepner Court, Nashville Court, Newburg Drive and Wilhelm Drive have been completed.

Due to a restriction on above-ground pipes (bypass) in winter months, contractor will be pausing construction and removing equipment for the season.

Full work will resume in the spring to complete the project on Heidelburg Road and Heidelburg Court.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
