Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and to provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will replace 1.5 miles of water main ranging from 4 to 10 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

Winter 2025 – Spring 2027

Project Status

Construction is 5% complete.

Pipe installation has started on Edward Drive and will continue through December.

Please expect no parking signs to be placed where work will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.

Final roadway paving/striping is estimated to be completed in early spring 2027, weather permitting.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
