The Intergovernmental Relations Office directs WSSC Water's legislative agenda and represents it before various elected bodies and agencies, and is a liaison between the Commission and elected officials.

Our mission is to strategically position WSSC Water's policy interests before elected, government, business and community stakeholders, in order to obtain the resources we need. We research, develop, analyze and advocate for or against legislation that impacts WSSC Water.

The IRO team meets with elected leaders, regulatory agencies and public officials at all levels of government. See the Federal, State and Local Affairs page to learn more about their work.
