Attention WSSC Water CAP Customers!

CAP-enrolled customers can receive up to $9,000 per year in water leak repair services. CAP is WSSC Water's Customer Assistance Program, which provides financial assistance to approved residential customers.

How It Works

Customers enrolled in CAP who suspect they have an on-property water leak should contact WSSC Water at 
301-206-4001 to receive a free annual plumbing leak investigation. If a water leak is found, Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland will secure the services of qualified plumbers and oversee all repair work. Please note: The program does not cover sewer or drainage issues.

Eligible services include:

  • Repair or replacement of:
    • Leaking plumbing fixtures, such as toilets, faucets, water valves, shower heads or external hose bibs
    • Internal water pipes
    • External on-property water service lines (some exclusions apply)
    • Leaking water heaters

To receive these services, the applicant must:

  • Be a WSSC Water customer.
  • Own and reside at the property (homeowners only).
  • Be enrolled in WSSC Water's Customer Assistance Program on date of the application for assistance.
