Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability of the water system, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project includes installing 1.3 miles of new 36-inch and 42-inch transmission main and replacement of 0.6 miles of 10-inch and 16-inch water main.

Project Status

Construction is 60% complete.​

Brandywine Road closure in place from approximately April 6 – August 30, 2026, to complete installation of the 16-inch water main.​

Traffic patterns along Surratts Road have been modified between Summit Creek Drive and Beverly Avenue to accommodate the realignment of a new 42-inch water main. This traffic pattern change will be in place from approximately April 6 - July 30, 2026.
