Project Purpose

To enhance service and reliability of the water system, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure including 2.1 miles of water main ranging from 4 to 10 inches in diameter and 1.1 mile of water house connections.

Project Schedule

Summer 2025 – Winter 2027

Project Status

Construction is 10% complete. Water main work is estimated for completion in winter 2027.

Please expect weekday lane closures from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.

Final roadway paving and restoration is anticipated following completion of the pipe work, weather permitting.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24–28, 2025, and again from December 31, 2025–January 4, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the holiday breaks to continue planned activities.
