Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide a continuous supply of safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. For this project, crews are installing new 16-inch diameter water main.

Project Schedule

Winter 2023 – Spring 2026

Project Status

Construction is 84% complete. Pipe work is estimated to be completed in March 2026.

We are currently installing new water house connections to properties. Roadway paving will continue in phases once water house connections are successfully completed.

Please expect weekday lane closures from 9:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.

Final roadway restoration is anticipated to be completed in early summer 2026, weather permitting.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24–28, 2025, and again from December 31, 2025–January 4, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the holiday breaks to continue planned activities.
