Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will replace approximately 1.62 miles of water main with new 3-inch to 12-inch diameter water main.

Winter 2025 – Fall 2026

Project Status

Construction is 75% complete. Pipe installation is estimated to be completed in September 2026.

Installation of the water main on Nashville Road, Kepner Court, Nashville Court, Newburg Drive, and Wilhelm Drive has been completed.​

The contractor will return to the jobsite in late March to early April to complete water main installation on Heidelburg Road and Heidelburg Court.

Expect weekday working hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.​

Final roadway paving and restoration is estimated to be completed in fall 2026, weather permitting.
