Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will replace approximately 2.1 miles of water main ranging from 4-inch to 10-inch diameter and 1.1 miles of water service connections.

Summer 2025 – Winter 2027

Project Status

Construction is 34% complete. Water main installation is estimated to be completed in winter 2027.​ ​ 

Please expect weekday lane closures from 8 am – 4 pm. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.​

Final roadway paving and restoration will occur following completion of pipe work, weather permitting.

Spring Schedule

Crews are currently working on Manor Lake Drive, Candytuft Drive, Candytuft Court, and Waterview Drive, replacing water service connections from the new water main to the property line.​

Afterward, crews will begin replacing water main on Trailway Drive and Rocking Spring Drive.
