Spring 2026 Project Update: West Cedar Lane Water Main Replacement - BT/BR7058A21

Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will install new 24-inch transmission main along West Cedar Lane.

Project Schedule

Winter 2023 – Winter 2027

Project Status

Construction is 67% complete. Phases 1, 2, and 3 water main installation are complete. Following a pause during the winter months, the contractor has now resumed work for the spring season.

Phases 5 and 6 will be constructed simultaneously, including work at the Old Georgetown Road and West Cedar Lane intersection and along Oakmont Avenue.

Please expect work to continue in these areas throughout spring 2026.
