Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will relocate/replace approximately 1.5 miles of old main with new 4-inch and 8-inch diameter water main.

Project Schedule

Winter 2025 – Spring/Summer 2026

Project Status

Construction is 70% complete. Pipe work is estimated to be completed in March 2026.

Installation of the water main on Karla Lane, E Barrett Road, and Hard Road have been completed.

Some work will still take place during the winter months. Full work will resume in spring 2026.

Please expect weekday working hours from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.

Final roadway paving/striping is estimated to be completed in late spring/early summer 2026.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
