Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and to provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will relocate/replace/rehabilitate 0.24 miles of water main with new main ranging from 8 to 24 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

Spring 2026 – Fall 2026

Project Status

Construction will begin in early spring 2026. Pipe work completion is estimated for October 2026.

Due to a restriction on above-ground pipes (bypass) in winter months, full work will resume in spring 2026.

Expect weekday lane closures from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks. Final roadway paving/striping is estimated to be completed in late fall 2026, weather permitting.
