Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide a continuous supply of safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will relocate/replace approximately 2.23 miles of water main ranging from 2 to 10 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

Winter 2025 – Fall 2026​

Project Status

Construction is 40% complete. Pipe work is estimated for completion in September 2026.​​ 

Installation of the water main on Paxton Court has been completed.​ 

Some work will still take place during the winter months. Full work will resume in spring 2026.​ 

Expect weekday working hours from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks. Final roadway paving and restoration is estimated to be completed in fall 2026, weather permitting​.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
