Project Purpose

To enhance service and reliability of the water system, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure, including approximately 1.1 miles of 24-inch diameter water main.

Project Schedule

Spring 2024 – Early Spring 2026

Project Status

Project construction is 95% complete. 

Water main work is estimated to be completed by January 2026. 

Construction work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks. 

Final restoration and paving is anticipated in early spring 2026.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24–28, 2025, and again from December 31, 2025–January 4, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the holiday breaks to continue planned activities.
