Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will replace approximately 2.2 miles of water main ranging from 4-inch to 8-inch diameter and 1 mile of water service connections.

Summer2024 – Winter 2026

Project Status

Construction is 86% complete. Water main installation is estimated to be completed in winter 2026.​ ​ 

Please expect weekday lane closures from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.​

Final roadway paving and restoration will occur following completion of pipe work, weather permitting.

Spring Schedule

Crews will continue to work on replacing main and services along Norbeck Service Road.
