Fall/Winter 2025 Project Update: Parkwood Drive II Water Main Replacement - BR7271A22

Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability and provide safe, clean drinking water, WSSC Water is replacing our aging infrastructure. This project will relocate/replace approximately 4.5 miles of 8-inch and 10-inch diameter water main, to include water house service to the property line.

Spring 2024 – Summer 2028

Project Status

Construction is 20% complete.

The water main replacement work on Everett Street and Glenridge Street, including the installation of new water house connections, except for the crossings at Connecticut Avenue on both streets has been completed.

Due to a restriction on above-ground pipes (bypass) in winter months, full work will resume in late March 2026.

Please note that construction in areas west of Cedar Lane are anticipated to start in spring 2026.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24–28, 2025, and again from December 31, 2025–January 4, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the holiday breaks to continue planned activities.
