Project Purpose

To enhance service reliability of the water and sewer system, WSSC Water is renewing our aging infrastructure. This project includes replacement and relocation of approximately 2 miles of water and sewer main ranging from 8 to 12 inches in diameter.

Project Schedule

August 2024 – November 2026

Project Status

Construction is 58% complete.

Pipe work is estimated to be completed in fall 2026, to include restoration and final paving/striping. Lambeth Road and Harwood Road are both completed.

Streets remaining where pipe installation has not yet occurred are Battery Lane, Goddard Road, Park Lane and Maple Ridge Road.

Due to a restriction on above-ground pipes (bypass) in winter months, full work will resume in spring 2026.

Pipe has been installed on all other streets involved, but restoration and permanent trench patching is still in progress.

Final paving will not resume until spring 2026, weather permitting.
