Project Purpose

To enhance service and reliability of the sewer system, WSSC Water is renewing our aging infrastructure. This project will rehabilitate approximately 1.3 miles of 6-inch and 8-inch diameter sewer main and 46 manholes.

Project Schedule

Summer 2025 – Summer 2026

Project Status

Construction is complete on 32% of project sites though final restoration remains to be completed. Manhole rehabilitation, mainline pipe bursting, lateral reconnection, and lateral replacement with new cleanout installation remain to be completed.

Expect weekday lane closures from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Work may occasionally extend beyond these hours to complete specific tasks.

Final roadway paving will begin in phases starting in spring 2026 and is estimated to be completed by summer 2026.

Winter Holiday Schedule

Construction will pause from December 24, 2025, to January 1, 2026, except for emergency work if needed. Crews will return after the break to continue planned activities.
