WSSC Water is constructing a new communication tower at its water tank located at 15916 New Hampshire Avenue, Colesville, MD 20905. To support required maintenance and painting of the water tanks, it became necessary to temporarily relocate WSSC Water's communication equipment, including Montgomery County Public Safety Radio services and the Montgomery County Public School radio system. Given the significant costs associated with temporary tower solutions, the new communications tower was built to prevent service disruptions and ensure the reliability of critical infrastructure previously housed on the water tank. These efforts do not impact drinking water.
