Laurel, Md. – October 3, 2025 – WSSC Water will officially open its $38 million, newly expanded, technologically advanced laboratory in Silver Spring. The expansion nearly doubles the size of the lab, boosting capacity from the current 500,000 water-quality tests annually to an expected 750,000 over the next 20 years, ensuring WSSC Water will continue safeguarding every sip - today and for generations to come.
