Learn about the changes WSSC Water implemented in February 2026 to make your bills even easier to understand.

We’ve made improvements to the layout of your water/sewer bill to make it easier to read and understand. Our goal is to provide clearer details about what you owe, when it’s due and how your charges are calculated. The updated layout highlights key information, organizes charges more clearly and shows how payments and credits affect your total balance.

Review the following sample bill to see what’s new and how each section helps you quickly find the information you need.

2026 WSSC Water bill revisions are: Page 1, we added a box for "What Do I Owe and When Do I Pay?" This box includes your last bill balance, previous payments or credits, balance forward, current charges, and total due. Your total due is repeated to the right of this information, in bold black text, along with when this amount is due. On page 2, we've added a box under "Billing Details" that lists your balance forward, last bill balance, previous payment amount and receipt date, and other credits.

AWhat Do I Owe and When Do I Pay? We've enhanced this section to provide a clearer breakdown of your current charges.

BMy Bill Details This section now offers greater transparency into how we calculate your balance. It clearly shows your balance forward, any payments received and other credits applied to your account.
