Laurel, Md. – September 19, 2023 – WSSC Water Commissioners are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 20, beginning at 10 a.m. The meeting, which will be held in person at the WSSC Water building in Laurel, is open to the public and will be available via livestream from WSSC Water’s website.  

Commissioners are scheduled to vote to transmit the Proposed Capital Improvements Program for Fiscal Years 2025-2030 to Montgomery & Prince George’s County governments. The proposed $4.8 billion program focuses on upgrading and replacing WSSC Water’s aging critical infrastructure to enable the continued delivery of clean, safe and reliable drinking water and wastewater services to 1.9 million customers in both counties. This month’s meeting agenda also includes the following topics: 

The meeting includes a call-in option to ensure interested stakeholders not in attendance can provide input. Those watching virtually and wishing to speak should call in at the beginning of the comments section, which begins shortly after 10 a.m. Callers will be admitted from the “lobby” when public comments start.
