There are WSSC Water customers who have water meters inside their homes. If we cannot read your inside meter or do not have a usable read, we ask that you submit a meter reading to provide you with an accurate bill.
There are several ways to submit your meter reading:
NEW – Submit Meter Readings Online! This feature of the MyWSSCWater portal makes it easier for you. Log in and directly enter a meter read. This tool is always available.
IVRS: You can submit your meter reading by phone 24/7 using our automated Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Dial 301-206-4001 or toll free at 1-800-634-8400.
Call Customer Service: Dial 301-206-4001 or toll free at 1-800-634-8400 to speak to a customer service advisor.
Email: Send an email to email@example.com with a picture of the meter reading. Include the account number and service address in the subject line or body of the email.
Meter Reading Request Card: If you received a meter reading request card, promptly return the yellow card to WSSC Water with the handwritten meter reading.
To use the IVRS, you will need your WSSC Water account number.
Through our automated Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), you can:
Enter a meter reading
Pay your bill using a check or credit card; Speedpay (not WSSC Water) will collect a $1.75 convenience fee for each transaction for providing the service.
Split your bill into two payments
Place a seven-day payment extension on your account
Our advisors are available to help weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Note: From July 10, 2020 through September 4, 2020, Friday hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
