Laurel, Md. – November 16, 2021 – WSSC Water Commissioners are holding their monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 17, beginning at 10 a.m. The virtual meeting is open to the public via livestream from WSSC Water’s website.

This month’s agenda includes a presentation on recommendations from the Bi-County Infrastructure Working Group on sewer extension needs for unserved & underserved neighborhoods in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. The working group, whose members represent both counties and WSSC Water, reviewed public and environmental health impacts from aging septic systems and recommended various financing approaches to extend sewer service to these neighborhoods.

The monthly meeting includes a call-in option to ensure interested stakeholders can provide input. Those wishing to speak should call in at the beginning of the Comments section, which begins shortly after 10 a.m. Callers will be admitted from the “lobby” when public comments start.
