Laurel, Md. – July 2, 2021 – WSSC Water today announced the reopening of its Customer Service One-Stop Shop for in-person services on Tuesday, July 6. Customer Service Advisors will be available to answer billing-related questions and help financially struggling customers establish convenient payment plans and identify affordability programs that best meet their needs. The One-Stop Shop is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Services include:

  • Billing inquiries – bill disputes, balance requests, creating customized pay plans and partial payments, refund hearing requests and any other individual account matters.
  • Assistance programs – Bay Restoration Fee credit application and information on how to apply for all other assistance programs. For more information about financial assistance  programs, please visit For complete information on bill payment options visit

Also opening Tuesday is WSSC Water’s Cashier Window. Customers wishing to make bill payments in person may do so at the Cashier Window or Drive-Thru Window, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Only checks or cash will be accepted. Credit card payments are only accepted online or via phone.

Additionally, Permit Services and Plan Review Services will reopen to the public on Tuesday for customers to apply for plumbing, gasfitting and service connection permits and to review new project submissions. Because permit and plan review can all be done online, this office will open with limited staff. To submit a permit or learn more about connecting to WSSC Water’s system, customers are strongly encouraged to visit: Permit Services office hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed Noon-1 p.m.), except Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to Noon. Plan Review Services office hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed Noon-1 p.m.), except Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to Noon.

The One-Stop Shop, Permit Services and Cashier Window are all located on the lobby level of WSSC Water’s headquarters building at 14501 Sweitzer Lane in Laurel.

To help keep customers and employees safe, everyone entering a WSSC Water facility must wear a face mask. Employees will be wearing personal protective equipment and plexiglass partitions have been installed at the counters for additional protection.
