Working to help more customers in this time of need, on July 21, 2021, the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission adopted revisions to the WSSC Code of Regulations, Chapter 3.25 “Billing and Collecting Water and Sewer Use Charges and Related Fees” and Chapter 3.45 “Customer Assistance Program Administration.”
The revision to Chapter 3.25 provides that late fees will be waived upon completion of a payment plan for the delinquent bill(s). The revisions to Chapter 3.45 are added provisions waiving late fees for customers enrolled in WSSC Water’s Customer Assistance Program (CAP) and reducing fees to resume service by 50% for CAP customers.
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE REVISED REGULATION IS SEPTEMBER 13, 2021
