Discover Engineering Family Day at the National Building Museum

Discover Engineering Family Day aims to introduce 4 – 12  year-olds and their families to the wonders of engineering and the importance of technological literacy. WSSC engineers had fun building water filters with future engineers!  

Sewer Science – Special Edition

Special EWeek editions of our unique STEM programming, WSSC engineers and experts lead students through hands-on activities that teach about the water cycle and water industry. Students also receive in-depth tours of a WSSC facility. Lunch is provided.

Engineering/Internship Fair (registration required)

Tuesday, February 20, 2018 | 1:00pm to 3:00 pm

New this year, the fair highlights opportunities that WSSC has for local college students and allows WSSC departments looking for interns with a background in engineering to share the requirements. Participants will have the opportunity to meet WSSC engineers from different disciplines, participate in a mock interview and learn about WSSC as a workplace. This is a FREE event; registration is required. Deadline for registration is Friday, February 16, 2018.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

Perfect for any girl who is interested in learning about the world of water and engineering! WSSC hosts 50 local girls engaging them in hands-on activities about water, engineering, and WSSC. Featured in the program is career storytelling by female WSSC engineers who help to provide customers with safe and reliable drinking water every day and return clean water to our environment. Lunch is provided.
