WSSC’s Recreation Areas are open from April 1 to November 15. They include picnic areas, boating ramps and playgrounds. To fish at these spots, you must have a valid state fishing license and a WSSC watershed permit.
If you are boating, you must have a valid state boating license and a WSSC watershed permit and lifejacket for each passenger, between the ages of 16-64, on the boat.
You can purchase watershed permits at Brighton Dam’s Visitor Center, 2 Brighton Dam Road, Brookeville and at WSSC’s office, 14501 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel. Or you can purchase watershed permits online.
