WSSC operates and maintains six wastewater treatment plants across Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. Our plant operators are available to lead educational tours that will provide your group with an overview of the process wastewater takes after it goes down the drain and before it is returned to local waterways.
Tours are offered Tuesday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Western Branch, Piscataway, Parkway and Seneca plants for participants that are 8 years and older. Note that this is a walking tour that lasts 1.5 to 2 hours.
If your group or classroom wants to learn how WSSC treats wastewater, sign up for a free tour by completing this form - WSSC Education Tours & Programs.
