Possible Temporary Discolored Water - Aspen Hill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Laurel, MD January 7, 2021:  WSSC Water customers in the Aspen Hill area (see shaded section on map below) may experience temporary discolored water as crews in the area prepare for a large water main shutdown. The work causing this temporary discoloration is expected to be finished in about two weeks, weather permitting. Discolored water is safe. We advise not doing laundry if you are experiencing discolored water. If the discoloration persists beyond January 21, please call us at 301-206-4002 or email us at emergencycallcenter@wsscwater.com.
