Emergency Water Main Shutdown – Montgomery Village

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Laurel, MD - February 27, 2020:  A contractor working in the Montgomery Village area damaged a pipe on private property. In order to make repairs, WSSC Water had to perform an emergency shutdown to a 24-inch diameter water main along Montgomery Village Avenue, north of Lakeforest Mall. Customers located in the shaded area of the map will lose water service or experience low water pressure while the repairs are made. We apologize for the inconvenience. Repairs will be completed as quickly as possible.
