OFFICE OF COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Because of the snow/sleet/freezing rain mix this morning, WSSC will have modified liberal leave for employees until 11 a.m. today, Thursday, November 15, 2018

This means WSSC is open for business as scheduled. All employees are expected to report to work on time. However, non-emergency employees who directly notify their supervisor within two hours of their scheduled start time that they are unable to report to work because of weather-related conditions, shall use their annual leave for the period of absence and shall not be charged an occurrence of unscheduled absence as long as they report by 11 a.m.

Employees who do not report by 11 a.m. may be charged an unscheduled absence.

Emergency personnel are expected to report to duty as assigned.

Please drive safely.

For 100 years, WSSC has proudly served the citizens of Prince George’s and Montgomery counties – providing drinking water that has always met strict Safe Drinking Water Act standards and protecting the environment through vital water resource recovery services. Our vision is to be THE world-class water utility, where excellent products and services are always on tap.
