WSSC Commissioners Hold Monthly Meeting Tomorrow
Agenda Includes Briefing on Proposed $3.5 Billion Capital Improvements Program and Review of $7 Million in Contracts to Improve Aging Infrastructure

Laurel, Md. – July 18, 2017 – WSSC’s proposed $3.5 billion Capital Improvements Program (CIP) and construction contracts totaling $7 million to improve aging infrastructure are two key agenda items for tomorrow’s Commission meeting. The monthly meeting, which begins at 10 a.m., is open to the public and will be livestreamed on WSSC’s website.
WSSC’s CIP details plans to improve water/sewer infrastructure and maintain financial stability over the next six years (FY2019 to FY2024). During tomorrow’s meeting, WSSC commissioners will be briefed by staff on several key projects and funding requirements in the proposed six-year plan. The meeting also includes several contracts for commissioner approval, including $7 million in construction contracts to improve water infrastructure:
- Clarksburg Elevated Water Storage Facility - $4.2 Million
- Powder Mill Road Water Main Replacement - $2.8 Million
