Laurel, Md. – October 18, 2017 – Approval of three construction contracts totaling nearly $12 million to enhance reliability and service to WSSC customers is on the agenda for approval at today’s monthly Commission meeting. The monthly meeting, which begins at 10 a.m., is open to the public and will be livestreamed on WSSC’s website.
The agenda also includes an update on renewal options for WSSC’s partnership with HomeServe USA. WSSC entered into an agreement with HomeServe last year to provide customers with optional, low-cost service plans for water and sewer pipe emergencies that occur on a customer’s property. Additionally, Commissioners will be briefed on WSSC’s Office of Supplier Diversity & Inclusion’s Fiscal Year 2017 performance results. In total, WSSC made $213 million in contract payments to small, local and minority-owned firms in Fiscal Year 2017 – nearly $70 million more than in Fiscal Year 2016.
The complete agenda, including links to presentations, can be found on WSSC’s website.
