WSSC AND DNR TEAM UP FOR ANNUAL FRIDAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT!

LAUREL, MD – June 15, 2017: WSSC is pleased to partner with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to present the Friday Family Fun Night event at the Supplee Lane Recreation Area in Laurel TOMORROW from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will encourage youth and their parents to utilize the 6000 acres of WSSC protected watershed with free fishing, boating and other hands-on activities.

WHAT:            Family Fun Day

WHERE:         Supplee Lane Recreation Area, 16904 Supplee Lane, Laurel, MD

WHEN:            Friday, June 16 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and fishing gear. No watershed use permit is required (boating, picnicking or hiking) for this special event. Anyone over the age of 16 who wants to fish must have a state of Maryland fishing license. No trailered boats will be allowed at the event. Bait and a limited number of fishing rods will be available. WSSC and staff from DNR Fisheries Services will be on hand for this free night of outdoor recreation. Staff will also discuss water safety.
