WSSC GM/CEO Carla Reid to Appear on WTOP

Reid Will Discuss FY17 Budget, Including New Water Rates and Infrastructure

Laurel – June 30, 2016 – Tune in to WTOP Radio (103.5 FM) on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 9:10 a.m. to listen to WSSC General Manager and CEO Carla Reid explain the FY17 budget, which takes effect Friday. The conversation will include an explanation for customers on why rates are increasing and why WSSC’s focus remains on infrastructure.

As Reid introduces her first fiscal year budget she remains focused on her vision for the utility, which includes continued transparency and customer communication and service. 

In addition to the interview on WTOP, WSSC purchased space in The Washington Post on Thursday June 30, to publish a letter that will be sent to customers explaining the new budget. Customers will begin to see the letter as part of their next scheduled bill.
