Public Hearings This Week on WSSC’s Proposed Capital Improvements Project Budget in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties

LAUREL, MD – September 6, 2016: Public hearings for WSSC’s Proposed Capital Improvements Project Budget (CIP) for Fiscal Years 2018 – 2023 will be held on September 7 and 8, respectively in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.

The CIP covers a six-year term of planning, design, land acquisition and construction activities on a yearly basis for major water and sewer infrastructure projects and program

This proposed FY2018-23 Proposed CIP continues WSSC’s aggressive program to rehabilitate or replace the older portions of its 5,600 miles of water mains and 5,400 miles of sewer mains; and finances capital facilities needed to accommodate growth within the WSSC service area. A draft of the FY2018-23 Proposed CIP can be found on WSSC’s website.

The public can attend whichever hearing is most convenient.
