Major Utility Hosts Session to Encourage Suppliers to Bid on Wide Range of Products, Services

Laurel – June 25, 2014: WSSC will hold the ninth in a series of supplier outreach sessions focused on fostering strong ties with the supplier community at its Laurel headquarters on Thursday, June 26, 2014. “How to Do Business with WSSC” brings together potential suppliers with contract managers and purchasers at WSSC’s Procurement Office to showcase upcoming contracting opportunities.
In the past, local contractors have joined businesses from as far away as Alaska to learn more about WSSC contracting areas, including architectural-engineering and construction services, facilities & maintenance services and supplies, fleet management services and supplies, information technology equipment and software services, and other technical, financial and professional services.
Attendees will hear about upcoming contracts and can market their companies’ abilities directly to WSSC decision makers. This outreach event is intended to promote economic growth, build capacity among WSSC’s local supplier community and provide relationship building opportunities for WSSC and its suppliers. Additionally, the event will encourage supplier networking to promote the development of relationships among suppliers.
