WSSC Hosts Meeting Tonight in Largo to Hear from Customers

Laurel – August 12, 2014: WSSC will host a public meeting tonight in Largo to discuss proposed changes to its customer bills. The proposed changes include raising the quarterly Account Maintenance Fee, a fixed, pipeline investment fee based on the meter size of each customer and developing a Customer Affordability Program to assist those who qualify. The proposal aims to lower future rate increases.
The proposed changes are part of an effort to shift the billing system to a more modern, equitable and predictable approach to gathering revenue.
