WSSC Roadway Repairs Complete

Laurel - January 9, 2013: All southbound lanes of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington have reopened. Roadway repairs following a water main break on Monday at the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Franklin Street are completed. WSSC, in coordination with the Maryland State Highway Administration, has restored and reopened the entire section of the roadway following the repair of a broken 78-year old, 8-inch water main at the 9800 block of Connecticut Avenue. Water service was restored to the affected customers on Monday evening.

With nearly 5,600 miles of water mains throughout its service area, WSSC appreciates notification from residents if they suspect a water main break. Residents can call 301-206-4002 or toll free 1-800-828-6439 at any time to report water or sewer emergencies in Prince George's or Montgomery counties.
