MEDIA ADVISORY: Jerry Irvine Joins WSSC as Public Affairs Manager

Laurel – January 2, 2013: Jerry Irvine joins WSSC's Office of Communications & Communications Relations as the new Public Affairs Manager. His responsibilities include media relations, public and community relations and internal communications.
Irvine has worked in private industry, government and the non-profit sectors. Most recently Jerry was Vice President for Communications for the Global Fund for Children. He has also held senior communications positions at the New America Foundation, Deloitte, and in Rep. Steny Hoyer's office.
"Jerry's experience in new media and brand management as well as media relations complements and strengthens what is already a very capable, dedicated and high-performing Public Affairs team," said Director of Communications & Community Relations Jim Neustadt. "We are very pleased to have him working on behalf of WSSC and our customers."
Mr. Irvine has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations (Political Science) from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
