FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Laurel – November 16, 2012: “Go Green” is a new Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) program that provides an email notification to customers when their bill is ready to view and lets them pay online without a fee.
In kicking off the program, WSSC General Manager and CEO Jerry N. Johnson, said, “Paperless billing gives our customers the chance to join WSSC in being better environmental stewards. It’s fast, easy, secure, and saves both customers and WSSC paper and postage - and there’s no fee to pay online.” Moreover, the program “underscores our commitment to environmental stewardship.”
“Go Green,” also known as “Electronic Bill Presentment & Payment,” will allow customers to review their payment history and analyze their water usage during different time periods throughout the year.
To get started, customers need to register online at www.wsscwater.com, click on the “Go Green” icon and follow the directions. When paying their bill, customers can use an electronic check. Customers also can choose to pay their bill immediately, schedule a future payment or set up automatic payments on a designated day of the month.
For 100 years, WSSC has proudly served the citizens of Prince George’s and Montgomery counties – providing drinking water that has always met strict Safe Drinking Water Act standards and protecting the environment through vital water resource recovery services. Our vision is to be THE world-class water utility, where excellent products and services are always on tap.
