Laurel – November 9, 2012 - Vincent Berg of Derwood has been elected Chair of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) Customer Advisory Board (CAB). Johnny R. Toles, Jr., of Fort Washington was elected as Vice Chair.  Both Berg and Toles were elected to three-year terms.

Berg, a member of CAB since 2009, is the owner of Urban Environmental Products and President at Forestry and Conservation, Inc. He succeeds Albert Nunez of Takoma Park. Toles, who was appointed to the CAB in 2012, is the Director of Civil Rights and Small Business Utilization Office for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency. He has served on the board since 2012.

Albert Nunez has served on the Customer Advisory Board for over 20 years and as the chair for much of that time.

The Customer Advisory Board was created in 1989 as an advisory body to provide WSSC’s staff on current practices and issues from a customer’s point of view.

For 100 years, WSSC has proudly served the citizens of Prince George’s and Montgomery counties – providing drinking water that has always met strict Safe Drinking Water Act standards and protecting the environment through vital water resource recovery services. Our vision is to be THE world-class water utility, where excellent products and services are always on tap.
