Summary

Due to the under-representation of girls in engineering (and STEM), WSSC is participating in this national day of recognition. WSSC will host 7-9th-grade girls from Prince George’s and Montgomery counties to participate in hands-on engineering activities, career insight, and inspiration from female engineers, lunch and group presentations.  This event is perfect for any girl who is interested in learning more about the world of water and engineering, no prior engineering experience is needed, just a desire to learn and meet other girls interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

During this fun-filled day girls will participate in hands-on activities to better understand the work that engineers do at a water and wastewater utility as well as hear the stories of female engineers who are an integral part of helping WSSC achieve its mission of providing safe and reliable water to our customers and returning clean water to our environment.

To register for this program please submit the registration form. Space is limited and chaperones are required to stay with the girls for the duration of the day. Registration closes on February 1st. A confirmation email will be sent with final program details.
