Customer Advisory Board

The Customer Advisory Board (CAB) was created in the spring of 1989 to provide WSSC and staff with customer input on current practices and proposed policies and to augment communication with our ratepayers.

The CAB represents a spectrum of WSSC ratepayers and a variety of customer interests and concerns; provides input on WSSC policies, programs, and services as they affect ratepayers; provides feedback on proposed policies, programs, and services.

The CAB meets monthly, on the second Wednesday night of the month, at WSSC’s headquarters at 14501 Sweitzer Lane in Laurel. The board does not meet during the summer months of July and August.

Members of the board are volunteers appointed by WSSC. Current CAB members are:

Since its inception, the CAB has had constructive input into many areas of the WSSC. In particular, they provided valuable insights on the Bill Adjustment Policy, initiated the formation of the WSSC Water Fund, and helped redesign the customer bill. Individual members of the CAB also testify at hearings on various WSSC projects.
