LAUREL, MD (May 6, 2008) – A wonderful treat for Mom…22,000 gorgeous azalea’s in full bloom at the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission’s (WSSC) Brighton Dam Azalea Garden.
The Brighton Dam Azalea Garden has garnered worldwide recognition for its amazing beauty. Five acres of azaleas are in full bloom and hundreds of people are expected to enjoy the garden in the coming week.
The garden is FREE and open to the public everyday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Elderly or disabled visitors can drive through the garden Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
After a tour of the garden, visitors can relax along the Triadelphia Reservoir picnic grounds. There’s even a play area for children! For more information, please call Brighton Dam at 301-774-9124.
